January 3

At times, we may find ourselves surrounded by others who are traveling at a different pace than us.

There are also times when we may find ourselves traveling at a pace that is different from what we anticipated for ourselves.

When things are going slower than you hoped, you might crave momentum or new strategies.

When things are moving too quickly, you might desire a balance or simplicity.

And in any given space of your life, you might feel tension between reflection and action, planning and spontaneity, expectation and reality...

But what if it was okay if you did not have it all figured out at once?

What if you did not have to have it all figured out at once to live an intentional life right here?

Not being able to figure it all out at once does not mean you are giving up. Instead it is an opportunity to slow down and consider what gradual growth will look like in this place.

It only makes sense that this can feel overwhelming by the tension of things, so that is why it matters to be intentional about the way you move through, however you can... being gentle with yourself and identifying what works best and what does not. You do not have to figure it all out at once. Even just allowing yourself to become more grateful for being aware is a beautiful, intentional way to live all on its own.

So in all of these spaces, may you know that you are free to feel what you need to feel and practice naming your needs right here. You are free to do what you can right here, being gentle with yourself as you approach the journey ahead.
