It may not always feel like it in the present moment, but there are moments in which you have been...

embracing courage,
practicing peace,
activating hope,
welcoming grace.

These may seem small and isolated, but in reality, they are part of a foundation being laid as you prepare for what is to come.

There are so many important details that get missed and so many moments of significant development that we just don’t realize how powerful they are, simply because they’re not tangible.

Measurable success that involves numbers and timelines gets far more attention because the results (or lack thereof) are much clearer to us. But there are moments in which you might be acting on courage right now that don’t just have an impact on you, but also inspire someone else in your environment to be courageous too. They might not say anything about it, and there might not be a photo to hang on the wall to commemorate the moment, but you may very well be helping someone strengthen their own courage through your actions.

There might be times where your hope feels as fleeting as a gentle wind—you felt it—but now you’re having to wait and you don’t know how it’s going to come together. In that space, may you consider the ways that hope is not wishful thinking, but instead, it’s an opportunity to focus on the possibility of what could be, to lay a foundation for what’s to come. If you say, “I hope the best for you at work today,” to a friend, chances are, you really mean it. You “hope” they will carry it with them in a way that it’s something they can build upon as they move through their day. The same is true for things that you have hope for. Of course, “hope” is just one part of it, but it is in fact something that you can continue to build upon.

Take the pressure off yourself to make everything make sense all at once. Focus on the small things you can build upon right here. 💛
