Words to repeat to yourself: "Today I am choosing to be mindful of what I am giving energy to. I am recognizing that I do not have to do this perfectly in order to begin to practice being mindfully aware each day. I can start small. I can start to notice when I need a break. I can start to notice when I'm excited about something, and let myself be excited...even if no one else is. I can be kind to myself when I need to pause and try again. I can be gentle with myself as emotions come up. And I will continue to remind myself that I can practice these things. I do not have to be perfect at being more mindful in order to grow and cultivate peace on this journey. I will continue to breathe deep and welcome grace as I carry on throughout the day."
