Let this be a space where you continue to act with courage to create, because you know the small things matter so much more than we often realize.
Create a group chat between the two friends whom you think might like to know each other... you never know when you can be the connecting link to help someone else find community.
Create a recipe card from the last time you changed the recipe you were following into something completely different... you never know when that could become something you share or pass along.
Create a block on the calendar to try something new with the people you love... you never know when you are creating a new tradition.
Create a photograph right from your phone of the most ordinary thing... you never know when you might be capturing an image that becomes special only when you see it later on.
Create a mood board and make it the background of your computer... you never know when the smallest thing you put there might serve as key inspiration at the right time.
All of these things require courage because the outcome is not certain, especially not right away. It takes courage to be vulnerable, and it can feel vulnerable to try all of these things without knowing what the outcome will be. However, each of these actions is a way in which creating something is so much more than a structured artistic practice, but a way in which connections are made in ways that contribute to life becoming a work of art itself.
Depending on personality or where you are in life, some of the ideas listed above may feel more natural than others, but what matters is that you give yourself permission to try something new, even if it’s small. What matters is that you act with courage.
