It is not too late for you to weave together something new

There are times when life may feel like a tapestry, woven together with meticulous care, each thread crossing another in harmonious patterns.

And yet, there are other times when it might feel quite the opposite—a tangle of knots and frayed threads, a jumble of connections that don’t make sense.

One thing I learned in my amateur tapestry weaving days was just how many “threads” there are. Originally, I saw them all as the same and didn’t realize the different kinds of yarns and threads existed. But the longer I spent with it, the more I began to realize just how many types were out there, and this was something I needed to spend time learning about even before I started weaving.

And perhaps the same is true of life, in some ways. We realize, with time, that while there are some times that life may feel like a beautifully woven tapestry filled with richness and textures, sometimes, we may feel like all we have are threads. But what if that’s okay? And what if that’s okay if it takes time to learn our way through them all?

Threads of heartbreak.
Threads of love.
Threads of fear.
Threads of connection….

There will be threads we hold on to….
Threads we let go of…
Threads we cling to…
Threads we heal from…

And perhaps, with all of these threads of our lives, it is not too late to weave together something new…and to allow ourselves time and space to do so. Perhaps, after everything, hopeful process of threads coming together again still exists. We find ways to connect and reconnect. We began to realize we are not alone. We find a way to mend, to grow.
